Today I am gonna explain you, how you can link your indian sim card with your aadhar card by yourself. Government of India has made it compulsory to link the sim with aadhar card. The last date of re-verification of Aadhar card with SIM is March 31, 2018.

From 1st of Jan 2018, users can now link their Aadhar card with sim at home by own. Previously if you have to link your sim with Aadhar, you have to go to the nearest telecom point to do this. But now you can do it by your own. So lets get started.

Requirements

1. Aadhar Card
2. Registered Mobile Number with Aadhar Card
3. Mobile Phone

It does not matter, that your phone is smart or keypad phone. You have to dial 14546 from your mobile number for which you want to link your Aadhar card. (This number may be not reachable sometimes, so try redialing again and again till you connect).

You will be asked to enter your aadhar card number of 12 digits, just enter the number and follow the instructions. Then you will be asked to enter the one time password. You will get your one time password on the mobile number which is registered with UIDAI. It is to be noted that your one time password is used here as your signature for confirmation so if you do not have any registered mobile number with aadhar, then you can not perform the whole process by own. Then you have to go to the local store for this.
Sample OTP SMS

After entering the one time password, you will be asked to enter alternate number. It is not necessary for you to provide alternative number. Now you can disconnect your call, after 24 hours, you will get confirmation SMS on your mobile.

*In some Indian States like, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujrat and many others, this process will start soon. Thanks for reading this article, If you have any queries, ask me on comment box.
